A winter day in Buenos
Aires
It is July, but it feels like December. Starting anew in a
city such as Buenos Aires, Argentina, during the winter is beautiful. The
seasons here are switched with what I am used to, but the environment is breezy
and cold which makes me reminisce of Lahore. It is cold, but I can still enjoy
both cocoa and a tasty mango gelato.
I can feel the breeze on my face, and I get goosebumps every
once in a while, but I feel the warmth of the cocoa going through my hands. When I walk through the streets I can hear the wind on people’s
jackets, the traffic and people talking. It is somewhat different to my first love, but it is my new home.
You did a very good job bringing your ideas in to represent what the narrator feels in this new environment. I think you should provide more thoughts so the reader knows what the narrator feels after leaving Lahore. However, you followed several blog elements which gives structure to the blog post.
ReplyDeleteI think you captured the voice of the author but left out much of the techniques he uses. You were able to describe things but not as much as the original author so I would work on that. However, you did follow the structure of a post by doing short paragraphs, I would recommend to fo more.
ReplyDeleteI like all the sensory descriptions and imagery you included in the blog. I think readers will definitely get the feel of the city with the way you described it. You also used short paragraphs which is great for a blog. My only criticism would be to focus on a few ideas instead of describing many at once.
