The warmest cold

The warmest cold

Coming back every year creates a sense of nostalgia and warmth in my heart. My birthplace, my roots, my family, my San Cristobal will always own my heart. Waking up and feeling the cold floor under my feet, greeting my long-distanced relatives, and wishing them a good morning felt familiar but so odd at the same time. Going outside to the porch I feel the cold wind rushing and a shiver goes through all my body, I see the green of the mountains at the distance, they remind me of the green of the mamoncillos we bought at the highway on our way here and their sourness to the agua panela my grandma makes for every lunch. I can smell the sweetness of my aunt´s coffee, as it goes down my throat, I get more and more warm as I feel at home and get used to the cold.

  1. I really like the title, its very original and eye-catching. The metaphors perfectly portray the mood the text is giving. The metaphors perfectly show the authors writing style. I don't see any use of personification which is used a lot by the author so it should be used at least once. The last sentence is a great way to end the text and reminds the readers of the catching title of the blog. Overall great blog only missing the use of personification.

  2. This writer did a great job at portraying the Lahore author's voice, with the nostalgic tone and making reference to themes as home being that birthplace ang growing away from it. Also, the writer achieved to exemplify the characteristics of a blog, with vivid images and sensorial examples of nature (building that similarity with the original author). With nothing more to add, I think this author did a pretty good job.
