The distance between London and I (formatted)
Growing up in many places, I have learned to let things go when the right time is set, London had a different idea.
A lot of my childhood was rooted in this city of power, strength, royalty. It was a sight to see and as a new set of eyes among the world, it was a playground of imagination rooted in romanticizing western culture. It stole, it created, and when I left it, it was the same.
So many years later, the same feeling within a child’s eyes is gone. People say that I grew up and dreaming of kingdoms and heroes simply was a fantasy. I try not to think that London is now gray, cold and unforgiving. All of this while the understanding that maybe London has thought of me this way too and we both came to terms that we changed. I love the way you have described the city exactly like the author of Lahore has. I like how you captured the techniques of a blog like structure by making short paragraphs. I also like how you expressed your writing in an active voice. I really enjoyed your blog and don't think you could have done any better
